Hello there!

Sinéad here, owner of R.B. Tootle Dog Walking.

My tiny business was established in Scotland during the summer of 2022. I’m a proud human to three wonderful (but challenging) dogs; two staffies named Mila and Aska and a brilliant border collie named Clyde. Through owning my own dogs and fully immersing myself in their care, development and training, I knew this was where my real passion and drive lay, so, making the decision to become a Professional Dog Walker was the natural career choice!

I pride myself on delivering a kind and ethical service which allows the dogs to have fun while also providing the structure they need to be their best selves. I enjoy using different types of enrichement activities with dogs to allow them to tap their natural instincts and increase their confidence! I recognise the time and dedication that owners put into their dog’s training nowadays and feel that your dog’s care service should supplement your training, after all, nobody wants to throw money at a service and watch all their hard work unravel!

The majority of dogs I work with have certain ‘quirks’, many of them came from doggy-day-cares and as a result had developed behavioural issues, I’ve also worked with a number of over-reactive dogs, some of these dogs have successfully integrated into my groups while I work with others on a solo basis.

I’ve completed a number of workshops relating to dog welfare and behaviour such as Canine First Aid and Canine Body Language. As a lifelong learner, I’m committed to constantly upskilling my knowledge in canine behaviour so that I can provide the highest quality service.

THE BEAR BEHIND THE NAME

Here you will see the inspiration behind R.B. Tootle; the amazing RooBear! RooBear was a small, serious looking staffy but what she lacked in stature she made up for in character. We lost RooBear after a long health battle in March 2022 at the age of 18 months which was heart breaking but also spurred me on to make the most of life, just like she did.

Why the name 'R.B. Tootle' you ask?

Well, 'RooBear Tootle' was one of many nicknames assigned to RooBear, the word Tootle also means a 'leisurely walk' in Scotland!
